Govee x Evangelion 3D visual design

Govee is a smart home brand known for offering innovative and affordable lighting solutions. Since its founding in 2017, it has gained recognition for its smart LED lights, including strip lights, bulbs, and ambient lighting products. These lights enhance various spaces—from gaming setups to living rooms and outdoor areas—by providing stunning visual effects and creating personalized, interactive lighting experiences. With the idea that “lights can be fun,” Govee is dedicated to making smart living more enjoyable and enriching for users.

Govee is a long-term partner of Naturality Digital and a widely recognized brand in the smart home and lighting industry. Once again, Govee approached us to create 3D visual images for the launch of their new co-branded product: the Evangelion-collaborated gaming lighting. Given that Neon Genesis Evangelion is an iconic anime IP with a monumental and deeply influential global presence, it holds significant emotional value for the target audience and represents an important product for Govee. The key challenge of this project was to bring together two brands in a way that preserves their distinct identities while blending them chromatically, effectively communicating with potential audiences.

The target audience for this release is clear, focusing on gamers and anime enthusiasts. The product closely aligns with the anime’s narrative and aesthetic, from its design to its special lighting effects. At the outset, we conducted an in-depth study of the product and analyzed the emotional value this collaboration holds for fans, ensuring the visuals effectively convey the identities of both brands and the anime, resonating with the target audience. Through 3D visual production, we aimed to create a strong sense of immersion by constructing both the scene and the product’s application, allowing users to experience the product’s unique charm. By meticulously refining the lighting details, we enhanced the millennium-era cyberpunk futurism of Neon Genesis Evangelion, evoking a powerful emotional connection to this iconic IP.
