Renowned for its minimalist aesthetics and exceptional performance, Lockin continuously introduces product innovations such as palm vein recognition, PIR + radar-based human detection, and full compatibility with major ecosystems like Apple Home, Amazon Alexa, Google Home, and Matter. As a brand with growing recognition on Amazon and in global markets, Lockin aims to address key pain points in the smart lock segment. The company plans to launch an innovative, all-in-one smart door lock — the Veno Pro — combining cutting-edge palm vein authentication with support for mainstream unlocking methods and AI-enhanced image recognition, setting a new industry benchmark.

When Lockin approached us, it was right before CES 2025. They were prepared to debut Veno Pro smart lock at the show. However, due to their relentless pursuit of perfection, the product development phase had taken longer than expected. By the time the final samples were ready, CES was just around the corner. Lockin expected Naturality to produce a high-quality 3D product video that would make the Veno Pro stand out at CES, where high-end tech surrounds. Immediately after that, we had to jump into product’s video filming, one that would go beyond just showcasing technological innovation to also convey the deeper values behind the product and the Lockin brand. The challenge was clear: how to create two distinct videos with different objectives in a very limited timeframe, and ultimately help Lockin capture attention, build brand recognition, and drive market growth.

We began by engaging in in-depth discussions with Lockin to fully understand the product’s core values, design philosophy, technical details, and market positioning. With the CES deadline approaching, we swiftly developed a clear visual direction and script for the 3D video. Drawing on Naturality’s years of experience in global markets, we emphasized Veno Pro’s cutting-edge technology and forward-thinking design in the 3D film. We then jumped straight into the preparation for another video. We conducted detailed market research to understand user expectations and purchase motivations in the smart lock category. Combining all insights with our understanding of the product and the brand’s aspirations, we went for a lighthearted and humorous narrative to communicate both the product’s functional highlights and the thoughtful, human-centered design behind. Lockin envisions Veno Pro as a smart lock that anyone, including young and old, can use easily and trust wholeheartedly. Inspired by this, we personified the product as “a member of the family” and told the story from its first-person perspective as it interacts with various family members. We also incorporated elements from the 3D video to showcase the product’s advanced technology and reinforce its core message: Veno Pro transforms cutting-edge technology into protection for what matters most to your home.

Ahead of CES 2025, Lockin entrusted us with the challenge of producing two distinct video assets for its new Veno Pro smart lock: one visually impactful 3D product film and one product video that balanced product highlights with emotional warmth. We swiftly collaborated with the Lockin team to align on the product’s core values, technical innovations, design language, and market positioning, refining a precise visual script in a short timeframe. In the 3D video, we used futuristic visuals and immersive sound design to showcase Veno Pro’s cutting-edge technologies, positioning it as a high-end home security guardian. For the product video, we shifted to a consumer perspective, using market research insights to reflect user expectations for humanized smart lock experiences. The product was personified as a “family member,” narrating everyday interactions from a first-person point of view to intuitively convey Lockin’s brand vision of “technology safeguarding emotion.” By efficiently combining creativity, strategy, and execution, this project not only helped Lockin stand out at CES but also reinforced its dual-driven brand identity of technological innovation and human connection.
